Hi, I'm Julia. I have a passion for design, painting , traveling and cuddling dogs.

I’m a UX designer based in The Hague, working as Design Consultant at Capgemini.

My career took off after a challenging graduation project that earned me a 9.5. During my defense, the external assessor, a Design Strategist from Capgemini, noticed my work and invited me to apply, which led to my current role.

At Capgemini, I've been involved in a significant project for the Ministry of General Affairs, which has provided me with invaluable experience. In addition to my daily work, I’ve actively pursued further development by completing several training programs, including the PS1 certification from Scrum.org and various courses at the Capgemini Academy.

My journey began earlier with a year of study in the US, where I immersed myself in a new culture and encountered diverse perspectives. This experience taught me that there are many ways to interpret and approach the world, highlighting the importance of empathy and open-mindedness in design. This broadened outlook has been instrumental in my approach to UX design, where understanding and addressing varied user needs is key.

Initially, I started in Biomedical Sciences at Utrecht University but shifted to UX design to follow my passion for creativity and problem-solving.

Through this experience I learned that passion is everything. If you don't enjoy what you're doing - move. You are not a tree. Channel your energy into something you believe in.
